Born in Augusta, Georgia, USA, MindySue grew up in West Virginia and later married and moved to Kentucky. She soon found a love for reading books to children and was asked to visit the rural schools to read to the children once a week. Dressed as the Mother Goose character, armed with a basket of treats and a carefully chosen children's book, she sat in a rocking chair with the class sitting spellbound on a carpet at her feet. A favorite memory tells of the first day reading in one of the classes, one little boy gently lifted the hem of her skirt over her boot, put it back down, and whispered, "No, there are no feathers."
Now, fast-forwarding years later, having retired from her self-owned bakery and her grandchildren have grown out of children's books, she has started the journey of writing some stories of her own. God bless the children of the world and her hope is somewhere a child is listening to one of her stories cuddled in the arms of a loved one.
